Most are Neither Visually Impaired nor Illegitimate!

No matter what you think of them, or your opinions on their eye sight / parenting etc, it is nearly impossible to have real matches without them – we are going to need people to help out with officiating both as dedicated and player refs
Touch is a fast paced game and although it is relatively easy to officiate, usually played in a good manner and spirits, it is very physically demanding to keep up with, or rather stay ahead of, play
Matches can be overseen by just one ref, but it is better to have 2, and ideal to have the full compliment of three refs, as they do in larger tournaments
After developing skills in the social run outs you will be ready to take charge in the league matches. The next step will then be to gain FIT accreditation so you can travel with the teams to international competitions
These tournaments usually require participants to provide at least one ref per team entered, who will benefit from discounted accommodation, meals and sometimes even payment for their assistance
